Getting where you need to go in your 2023 Volkswagen just got a lot easier with the VW IQ.DRIVE.
The VW IQ.DRIVE is designed to help you navigate the road ahead with enhanced safety.
From in-town rides to highway drives, no matter where you drive, IQ.DRIVE is there for you.
In essence, IQ.DRIVE provides innovative safety systems for enhanced convenience and peace of mind. It monitors the road and alerts you of sudden obstacles, vehicles, or pedestrians.
From steering support to speeding up or slowing down, IQ.DRIVE technology helps keep your mind at ease.
No matter how focused and careful you are on the road, a sudden obstacle or a vehicle you can’t see in the mirror could lead to an uncomfortable situation on the road.
To avoid situations like this, Volkswagen introduced IQ.DRIVE to its vehicles. IQ.DRIVE is a driver assistance technology to keep you one step ahead on the highway.

For instance, when the road is crowded the IQ.DRIVE can help keep things cruising.
It uses sensors to detect vehicles ahead of you, helping adjust your speed, and manages the distance between you and what’s in front of you, adapting to the situation you’re in.
When you’re focused on the journey ahead, your vehicle’s IQ.DRIVE technologies can also help by alerting you when another vehicle may be hiding in your blind spots and helping counter-steer when necessary.
IQ.DRIVE helps monitor traffic and can alert you to a potential rear-end collision with the vehicle in front of you. If you don’t fully react to the alert, the system can increase brake pressure or automatically apply the brakes.
Within system limits, the VW IQ.DRIVE can also warn you if there’s a pedestrian crossing in front of your vehicle and will, in certain circumstances, brake automatically if you don’t respond to the warning.
You can’t always see what might be crossing behind you when reversing out of a parking spot or backing out of a driveway. IQ.DRIVE technologies can help monitor what’s behind, alerting you when cars and motorcycles that could cause a collision are detected and helping hit the brakes before it’s too late.
In another scenario: You’re backing out of a narrow driveway onto a busy street, and obstacles like walls or parked cars are preventing you from getting a clear view of street traffic.
While you’re in reverse, IQ.DRIVE engages sensors that can alert you of vehicles crossing behind yours and can even help brake if needed.
IQ.DRIVE also monitors steering wheel activity and can deliver a series of alerts if it detects that your hands are not on the wheel and you are not actively operating the vehicle. If you don’t respond to these alerts, the system can bring the vehicle to a controlled stop.
And there’s also lane assist. If you’re driving over 37 mph, Lane Assist helps you stay in your lane by detecting the lane markings on the road. Similarly, front assist monitors the traffic and alerts you with audio and visual alerts of a potential rear-end collision with the preceding vehicle. If it detects no reaction from the driver, it automatically brakes the vehicle.
Other features include adaptive Cruise Control helps you maintain a preset speed and distance from the car moving ahead. When activated, it can speed up or slow down your vehicle by detecting the speed changes in the car you’re following. Active Blind Spot Monitor alerts you if there’s a car or any other obstacle in your blind spot.
